Raima Sen was born to ex-Bollywood sexy actress Moon Moon Sen and Bharat Dev Varma who hails from the royal family of Cooch Behar. Raima Sen is the granddaughter of Suchitra Sen the legendary actress of Bengali cinema during 1950s to 1970s.
Raima Sen made her debut in movies with a small role in "Godmother" in 1999. She has since appeared in several films which have been moderately successful. Her histrionic talents got critically acclaimed in movies like Rituparno Ghosh's "Chokher Bali" {2003}, "Parineeta", "Antar Mahal" and an action thriller "Dus" {all 2005 releases}. Though Raima Sen has appeared in over twenty movies she is yet to get a lead role in a major film.
