Mallika Sherawat lands in Bollywood
Mallika Sherawat graduated in Philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University. Soon after her graduation she worked as an airhostess where she met her husband pilot Karan Singh Gill who failed to pilot her life; and the marriage soon ended in divorce. Mallika Sherawat then moved to Mumbai in search of an acting career in Bollywood. She first landed commercial campaigns like 7Up and Santro and also performed in a music video 'Lak Tunoo' by Surjit Bindrakhia.
Mallika Sherawat made her debut in movies in 2002 with "Jeena Sirf Merre Liye" under her real name Reema Lamba. The film did not click at the box office and Reema Lamba has turned into Mallika Sherawat. Mallika means 'empress' and Sherawat being her mother's maiden name.
