Kangana Ranaut born on March 23rd, 1987 in Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh, India is a popular Bollywood actress.

Kangana Ranaut was born to Amardeep, a businessman and contractor and his wife Asha, a school teacher. Kangana Ranaut has an elder sister named Rangoli and a younger brother Akshit Ranaut. Kangana Ranaut studied in DAV's High School in Dehra Dun, Uttar Pradesh. She actively participated in elocutions, debates and played basketball too. Soon after graduating in science from a Science College in Simla, Kangana Ranaut learnt her first steps in modeling from Elite School of Modeling. Kangana Ranaut who learnt Kathak dance form also took to theater and joined Smita Theater Group under Arvind Gaur.

Kangana Ranaut made her acting debut with Anurag Basu's "Gangster" in 2005. Her amazing performance in the movie won her eight awards including Filmfare and Zee Cine Awards. Kangana Ranaut has since appeared in "Woh Lamhe" {2006}, "Shakalaka Boom Boom" and "Life in a Metro" {both 2007 releases}.
