Antara Mali is a wonderful Bollywood actress with oodles of talents in her. Known as the protege of ace Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma, Antara Mali was nominated for several awards for her stunning performances in movies.

Antara Mali is the daughter of noted photographer Jagdish Mali. Antara Mali made her debut in 1998 with "Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge!" in which she appeared in an insignificant role that almost went unnoticed. Thanks to Ram Gopal Varma for he took Antara Mali under his wings and groomed her up as a hot Bollywood actress.

In 1999, Antara Mali has appeared in a Telugu film "Prema Katha" and Bollywood film "Mast" {1999} both directed by her mentor Ram Gopal Varma. She has since appeared in several Bollywood movies such as "Khiladi 420" {2000}, "Company" {2002}, "Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon" {2003}, "Naach" {2004}, and finally "Mr Ya Miss" {2005} which she has written, directed and acted in.

The film bombed at the box office and the "Naach" girl Antara Mali suddenly disappeared off the face of Bollywood and resurfaced in Europe taking a long holiday from movies. While in Paris, Antara Mali co-directed a French documentary film which revolves around three students and their experiences in Paris. After three-year hiatus from films sexy Bollywood actress Antara Mali has returned back to Bollywood and is yet to appear on screen. She said, "I have not signed any as of now. Actually, I'm not yet motivated to resume work."

Antara Mali so far has acted in all ten films, of which four of them have been directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
